A new script that reveals all the gory details about a document
I just posted a new free InDesign script that I'm excited about. "Analyze document" is a script that, once installed, adds an "Analyze Document" command to the File menu. When you run this command on an open document, the script reports on all kinds of aspects of the file, like how many overset text frames there are, and on which pages. Whether or not the document contains conditional text, variables, tracked changes, hidden spreads, non-printing layers, and much, much, much more. I find this really useful to run anytime I inherit a document from someone else that needs further editing. Thank you to CreativePro for underwriting much of the development cost of this script!
